ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY AND ADDING VALUE

We are expanding our sales and customer service team and adding a Sales and Marketing Associate. This position will be based in Salinas, CA at the Western Growers Center for Innovation and Technology and will report to the lead Project Manager.  This is a full-time position Monday through Friday.  Direct hire.

INTRODUCTION

This role will be responsible for assisting with building and maintaining excellent relationships with new and existing customers which may include following up on leads and helping with wrapping up new business.  Also, will engage in social media, update company website, direct and facilitate inbound traffic resulting from marketing efforts, and prepare sales and marketing materials.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have the following skills, education and experience (a combination of these may be considered:

  • Adaptable, assertive and accountable
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in either a sales or marketing role
  • High aptitude and good communication skills
  • Associates’ Degree in Ag Business, Marketing or Communications. Bachelor’s Degree a plus
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry with special emphasis on supply chain
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office Suite programs. CRM experience helpful.
  • Technologically savvy and/or desire to further comprehension of technology and innovation.
  • Must be well versed in all social media platforms with the ability to navigate in these arenas.
  • Dedicated to the long term and vision of the Company.
  • Ability to work remotely as needed as well as with customers on site visits throughout primarily California but may also include other domestic or international locations.
